.dk Domain

.dk is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Denmark. The supervision of the .dk top-level domain is handled exclusively by DK Hostmaster. Any new .dk domain name has to be applied for via an approved registrar. Then the domain name applicant can ask the registrar to manage his domain name or have it managed directly by the DK Hostmaster. Registrations of domain names with the characters æ, ø, å, ö, ä, ü, and é are also allowed.

Registration

If you do not use our nameservers, you have to register your nameservers on https://www.dk-hostmaster.dk/english/technical-administration/dns-server-contacts/

Also you have to allow AXFR Zone Transfers from 193.163.102.6. If you use our nameservers, you can easily allow Zonetranfers for this IP.

Attention: After registration, the registry will send a mail to the owner of the domain. The owner has to login on http://dk-hostmaster.dk/ and activate the domain. If one does not activate the domain, the domain will be deleted after 60 days. There is no refund for deleted domains.

Transfer

The transfer has to be initiated through our system. After a transfer, our system syncronizes the owner of the domain from the registry to our system. If possible, you can start an owner change if you want to replace the synced owner.

Ownerchange

An Ownerchange is only supported direct at the registry. You cannot change the Owner with our system. Attention: If you change the owner with the registry, the domain will be automatically transferred out from our system. After that, you have to transfer the domain back to us.
